Condolences
To the family of Pearl Mauger Whittier. Please accept my deepest condolences on your recent loss. Pearl was a neighbour and friend to my family, as were her parents Ida and Lennox. I have many fond memories of visiting the Mauger farm at the Cape over the years and listening to stories of life on the Cape. The Cape is a very special place not only for the spectacular natural beauty it holds but also for the amazing people that live there. Pearl was one of those amazing people. God bless you all.

Please accept our condolences. The Lelacheur family and Ida were connected in the past. I remember visiting Lennox and Ida many times as child and attending Pearl's wedding. Glendon and Marlene LeLacheur
I am sad to hear of Pearls passing! My Sincerest Sympathy to all of her family! She was a lovely Lady and Friend, and will be greatly missed by all. May Pearl Rest In Peace!
Pearl had such a positive influence on our family. A kind and gentle lady who was also a gifted storyteller. She continued her parents legacy of love for Isle Madame, respectfully living on and maintaining the family homestead and heritage property. She connected with everyone she met, young and old, always showing interest and sharing knowledge in whatever the conversation was about. Sean is so thankful that he got to spend time with Pearl over the past year. Sharing stories about his grandmother Viola, his mother Evelyn, and Pearls parents Ida and Lennox, who greatly influenced his love of gardening and tending the land. He will miss her wisdom, her friendship, and also her wonderfully cooking, She will live on through her children, grandchildren and all of us that she considered family and friends. Her presence will always be felt at the “Cape”
Our thoughts and prayers are with her family - David, Gen, Sarah and their families.

Our deepest condolences to David, Gen,Sarah and their families at the loss of their mother and grandmother.Pearl and her mother,my Aunt Ida, also had a huge influence on my young life as my sister Evelyn has noted.May they rest in peace and watch over us in these troubled times. I had the privilege of reading Pearls novel. It is certainly indicative of how she felt about the land and where she came from. Pearl was godmother to my second son Bruce.

Heartfelt sadness on learning how ill my friend was. Thankfully she had a peaceful passing.
Condolences to the family. She will be greatly missed.
I am deeply saddened by the loss of my dearest cousin, Pearl. She was a special person to me. In my years as a young child, she took me berry picking and for long walks on the shore and beach at Cape La Ronde. We always stopped to pick flowers along the way and search for pretty and unique beach glass and rocks.
As a teenager, I went to her home a number of times a week, during my summer vacation, where she sat me in front of her typewriter with an open book on typing lessons. She never skipped a page and by the time the school break was over, I was well on my way to becoming an excellent typist. When I finished high school, these lessons became the highlight of my future and I graduated from Community College to a life long career in administration. I knew, from the moment I began using her typewriter, this was going to be my goal. She was an extremely strong inspiration in my life, along with her dear mother and father, my Aunt Ida and Uncle Lennox.
I'm so pleased that our son, Sean, was living nearby and was able to spend time with her over the last couple of years. It warms my heart knowing that his presence enabled her to stay at The Cape longer than she would have normally expected. She loved her family homestead and the beauty of the scenic surroundings - it was her 'happy place'!
Ken and I are both honored and blessed to have known her. Remembering her wonderful and gentle soul will forever remain in our hearts - may she rest in peace! We would like to express our deepest and most sincere condolences to all the family.
