Condolences
To the family,
Our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences for the loss of uncle Hughie. Saying he was a good man is an understatement. We enjoyed so much laughter, stories and the "odd beer" over the years. Wanda and I are so grateful for our recent visit with him. Through his pain and suffering he still had a smile on his face. The community of Rocky Bay will never be the same without him.
RIP uncle Hughie!
Mel, Wanda and family.
Dear Paul, Robbie, Gail and family:
We are so sorry for the loss of your dear Father and Grandfather. Hughie was one of a kind. Gentle, thoughtful, and a caring man, who always welcomed us into his home and was ready for a good game of crib. Over the years during the Strawberry Season, I looked forward to his phone call, wondering if the U-Pick was opened and who had the best berries. Our hearts go out to you during this difficult time and we hope the wonderful memories and dinners you shared together with your Father and Grandfather bring much comfort and peace. Hugs are being sent.

Gail, Robbie, Paul and families; Uncle Hughie was definitely one of a kind. He was always so glad to see us when we visited and sad to see us go. There are so many memories that I have growing up spending time at your house. It was always filled with love, laughter, cards and delicious smells coming from the kitchen! I am glad that Amber, Jayde and myself got to drop by and spend a bit of time with him this past summer. We took pictures and reminisced about the past. Even though he was not feeling the best, Uncle Hughie still had a smile on his face and I am glad we got one last hug! Uncle Hughie and Aunt Marion are together again and their love is felt by all of us! Love, Tracey, Andy, Amber & Jayde XOXO

Such a treasure. The kindness and sweetest. RIP Hughie. Condolences to all his family, friends and the Rocky Bay Community.
Our deepest sympathies to Paul, Robbie, Gail and all your families. Hughie was a kind gentle man who had the warmest smile and welcomed everyone into his home. We will miss his humor and a quick game of crib while visiting Rocky Bay. We are sorry we are unable to attend the Celebration of Life but I will cherish all the times we spent with him and savour the memories. I hope he and Marion will be flying high. R.I.P. Hughie!
To Hughie family and friends ; I got to know Hughie some 40 plus years ago when I played hockey with him, and all the year I had Jeantie's. During all the years I knew him a cannot remember anytime that he did not have a smile or a friendly greeting. He was a great man who I admire and had loads of respect for. Rest In Peace my friend.
Paul, Robbie and Gail your dad was such a kind and gentle soul. He will be dearly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your families. I will cherish the memories of stopping by your house in Rocky Bay and your dad just flourishing us with food and drinks, playing cards and just laughing with your dad at his rich sense of humor.
