To Lorna & Robbie, I am saddened to learn of your sister, Shirley's passing. And to all of her children and their families, my sincere condolences. What a beautiful and moving obituary tribute written by Shirley's grandchildren! Although I didn't know my cousin well, due to distance and age gap, I do have a few memories of her when I was lucky enough to visit Petit de Grat with my parents and brothers. She sounds like a remarkable woman who lived life well. She was raised by two of the best - my dear Aunt Anita and Uncle Godfrey. Rest in peace, Shirley.

So sad to hear of your mom's passing. Our condolences to all of the family.

Sincere condolences to the family, I remember growing up, Steven and I were always attached to the hip after school and would play in her yard together and then sometimes go in for cookies or popcorn and koolaid. She was always such an amazing lady and meme to all her grandchildren, I remember always wishing she was mine too. I will miss her visits to moms, her laugh and how she would always ask me " and how is Amy doing?" She will be missed by many, hugs to all of you during this difficult time, xox.
Our thoughts are with you all during this difficult time.
Dear George Family,
My deepest condolences on the loss of your dear matriarch, Meme. I was a grown woman by the time I learned she was Shirley to those not related to her, but I still considered her Meme and always will. There are no words to offer solace for so great a loss. However, there are people far and wide, including myself in Amsterdam, who are saddened by her loss and hold warm memories of her kindness.
Deepest condolences on your great loss. She was Meme to everyone and we have wonderful memories of visits to the George house. Her hospitality was unbelievable and we always felt welcome. She will certainly be missed, but she has left many fond memories to both family and friends.
Our deepest sympathy to Elden and all your family, Shirley was a very remarkable women, R.I.P. Shirley
Such sad news and a surprise - I always expected Shirley would live well into her nineties like Grandma (Maria Goyetche) and Anita - three amazing women who anchored the Goyetche / Fougere / George families.
My sincere condolences to all her loved ones. May your cherished memories and God's love grant you some peace and comfort at this difficult time.
In deepest sympathy,
Donna Goyetche (daughter of Lorenzo)

Condolences to Karen and family on the death of your mother. Your mom was a gracious lady! May she rest in the eternal peace with her loved ones.
Our Family, our Neighbors:
To share a memory of your mother, there are so many wonderful memories that I will treasure.
Your mother was just always there, so selfless, giving, caring. When our mother was living your mother was like her best friend and certainly did a lot to help my mom. When my mother passed Shirley was my guardian angel, always making some great dessert, pies, God forbide if I mentioned my girls loved those squares u made that they tasted at some party. Well when Amy came for a weekend visit, guess who made those famous squares, Shirley of course. When I had different surgeries and home recovering, guess u came by with lemon pie (my favorite) Shirley. She wasn't too crazy about pets I don't think but guess what she took care of our Misty one weekend plus had to phone me with the terrible news that she passed. When I was upset, she was upset too. I could go on and on but everyone who knew and loved Shirley knows exactly what I am talking about. Rest in peace my angel, you will never be forgotten. Much love n sincere condolences n love to Eldon, n all her entire family. She will be missed. You all have an abundance of special memories to cherish. Hugs ❤️
