Please share a memory of Patricia Ann to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia Ann Bowden of Port Hawkesbury, that occurred at St. Martha’s Regional Hospital I Antigonish on October 19, 2022.
Born January 29, 1956, in Saint John, New Brunswick, she was a daughter of the late Clement Joseph and Lavinnia Madonna (Theriault) Britten.
Patricia loved her black coffee and occasional iced coffee. She put so much love into her crocheted blankets and hats, and made sure all family members had at least one or two. She loved feeding birds, photography. The Vancouver Canucks and Montreal Canadians were her favourite hockey teams.
She also loved going for drives, fishing and camping trips with her son Billy and Amy. Packing her yarn and camera. She loved her cat Bella and her best buddy, Diego. Patricia didn't have her own grand children, but shared those of her ex-husband. She was Nana Pat to them. She loved all her fur grand children and saved all the photos she received of them. She had many great friends who she kept in regular contact with her, a few of which she had known since her school days.
She was best friends with Jim, her ex-husband and his wife. Sue and she enjoyed their visits and when they brought her a Tim's coffee. Peter and Paul helped her so much in the past year with her mobility issues and she in return looked after them. She loved Paul like he was another son to her.
Patricia is survived by her daughter Dionne Bowden (Danny Clouston), Yellowknife, NWT; and son Billy Bowden (Amy Guillemette), Kapuskasing, Ontario; brothers Blair Britten (Nancy). Arichat, and Peter Britten, Port Hawkesbury; sister Judith Rose (Alex) Phillips, Edmonton, ALB.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased her sister in infancy.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service per request. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
