Our condolences to all of Charlie’s family. May he RIP
Terry, Melvin, Stephen, Arnie, Darrell, Dean, Blake, Timmy and Lisa,
My deepest condolences on the passing of your father Charlie.
He lived a very full life and always had a positive attitude every time I saw him. I always had a smile on my face after I would run into Charlie.
I have very fond memories of when Charlie and Mildred got together with my parents Walter and Serena. Charlie would always make my father and mother laugh, they really enjoyed the times they shared with Charlie and Mildred.
God Bless all of you!
Kevin Barrett

RIP Charlie enjoyed the day you took me deer hunting in one of your favourite spots. We’re weren’t successful in the hunt but he did break a lot of sticks waiting impatiently for a deer and lots of conversation. Precious moments with Charlie God Bless him and family. Robert J Burke
Loved the obituary, it brought back many memories of my uncle some of which I had forgotten. I was one of the lucky children that had rides on whatever commercial vehicle he was driving at the time and I was lucky enough to be a willing listener to the myriad of stories he used to tell some of which were certainly not true but if you were competing with my father and other uncles you had to be the teller of the most outrageous one of all! My condolences to the family in this difficult time and I'm sorry that I can't be there to celebrate uncle Charlies life.
Thoughts and prayers to Charlie's family at this very difficult and sad time.
Rest in Peace with the angels, my good friend .
Many moons ago I bought a truckload of firewood from Charlie.
I paid with a cheque and made the cheque out to Charlie Menard!
We had a great laugh about that, let me tell you.
Sincere condolences to the Sampson family in the loss of your Dad. Charlie was always a pleasure to see, as he always had something funny to say! RIP Charlie
My condolences to all the family. A well written obituary. Charlie was one of a kind, always happy, always a joke or two. I remember working in the store and Charlie would come as far as the Grand River United Church and turn around and go back. He often came in to buy sometime, but we always had a laugh. It did not matter if you were old or young, there were no strangers to Charlie, he spoke to everyone. He certainly enjoyed life, all with a little bit of mischief to go with it. RIP Charlie, thank you for always making me laugh.
My father, Murdock, after fighting for the liberation of Holland with the British forces would return home to gain degrees from
UNB.
During a discussion about career choices he shared his philosophy on life and education while I was still a high school student.
He was directive on not being impressed with degrees that meant nothing but focus on a person's natural intelligence and gifts.
Somewhat bewildered by the conversation a grater drove slowly by our home in Cleveland correctively changing the defects in the road.
My father seized the moment to identify the operator, Charlie, as the best operator ( natural gifts ) and why he drove so far to get
the job done.
He said be like him -------- the best of best of what ever you do.
Charlie ironically represented the best example of one of my father's philosophies that I used as a driving force to my career.
Regrets that Charlie would never know of this conversation but it was shared tonight with a dear friend of our family --------- his
son Steve.

Stephen, Terry, Dwight. Carl, Brent (who I personally knew) and all of Charlie's family...extending condolences to each and every one. I enjoyed many good laughs with this great man. He certainly always had a great story to tell! Soar High, my friend, and sprinkle your everlasting dust on all your loved ones.
I send heartfelt condolences to the whole family. Charlie was one of kind and always had a joke and a smile when ever we met. Some of my fondest memories of him was at Beattie Martell's 80th when the two of them step danced into the hall and when he and his daughter step danced at Millie and his Anniversary Event at the Community Hall. The twinkle in his eye was ever present and made everyone around him feel better for it. Go rest peacefully now Charlie.
Judie and I first met Charlie at the Legion. He was a going concern from that first meeting with his sense of humour and his "old world" view of life. We thoroughly enjoyed talking to him whenever we met. Rest in peace Charlie, it's time to enjoy the company of your wife and ancestors and to watch over your family from above. Our condolences go out to your family and friends.
Charlie was the best mix of kindness, clever and humorous with a steak of mischief that went for miles. If you or Millie didn't give him a whack at some point during a conversation it wasn't much of a conversation. Be it a store, the post office or church, no matter the location he had a tale to tell and he wasn't happy until he left you laughing. Yesterday would have been my late mother's 71st birthday and I'm sure there were some choice words somewhere when she saw Charlie strolling in. Hopefully the two of them are causing trouble somewhere. Our deepest condolences to all of Charlie's friends and loved ones from our family.
On behalf of the Raney family I would like to send our condolences and prayers to Charlie's family. Charlie was always the life of the party. May he have an old fashion quick step with our Mom on the other side of the Pearly Gates. REST IN PEACE CHARLIE. Regards: Darlene, Sheila, Heather, Gary and Family
Sincere condolences to all the family. Charlie was one of a kind and he never missed the chance to tell a good joke even if it was in church. He loved to laugh and I'm sure the laughter continues to ring loudly in heaven. May he rest in peace! God bless you all at this sad time. Ambrose & Bernie Sampson (L'Ardoise)
My condolences to you ALL, your Dad was a fine man. RIP Charlie! (Kathleen Boudreau, St. Peter's)
Our deepest condolences on the loss of your father. Rest In Peace.
My deepest condolences to all the extended family and friends of Uncle Charlie. He never failed to leave a warm impression whenever I had the good fortune of running into him. I was a relative but I suspect he was that way with everyone.
