It was always a pleasure to run into Muriel as she was always genuinely interested in chatting and always with a smile! May you find comfort in knowing that she is finally at rest after having lived such a life of service. Lester, Jerome, Lisa, Jacinta and all your families, we are so sorry for your loss

We grew up with aunt Muriel and our mom Berthilda being very close sisters and many people would call aunt Muriel "Berthilda" sometimes and they would often ask our mom if she was Muriel. For many years when you saw aunt Muriel, our mom Berthilda was not far away because they were always together. Many laughs were shared between mom and aunt Muriel, as mom would say, " Muriel can make anyone laugh because of her great sense of humour." This is how aunt Muriel broke the ice whenever some new doctors and staff would be welcomed at Sainte Anne's Hospital. She and Father Hugh MacDonald were very fond of each other and they shared many laughs together.

She was an inspiration to me becoming a nurse because when I think back to going for an x-ray as a small child and seeing how professional she was and seeing her dressed in a white uniform, I told mom that I wanted to help people in the hospital like she did. Our dear Mom and my dear Godmother Muriel are most likely happy to be rejoined in the life ever after with the rest of their awesome siblings and parents. We will miss you aunt Muriel but we know that you finally get to rest with God now after all your long years of service on this earth. We love you. xoxoxo
