Obituary of Joseph Albert Boudreau

BOUDREAU, Albert Joseph, Arichat It is with a heavy heart that we announce that Joseph Albert Boudreau passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on March 31, 2023. Born October 8, 1952, in Arichat, he was the son of the late Joseph Albany and the late Evangeline Mary (Boudreau) Boudreau. Albert is survived by his wife Doreen; daughter Melissa (Robert MacLean); son Christopher; all of Arichat; brother Gary, Port Hawkesbury; sisters Christine (Louis Boudreau), BC; Donna (Francis MacLeod), Calgary; he will also be sadly missed by his furry best friend Maxie. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters Elaine LeParque, and Edith Samson; mother and father-in-law Thomas and Dorothy (Samson) Morrison; sister and brother-in-law Patsy and Billy Dickie. Albert worked as a Sheet Metal Worker at an HMC Dockyard, in Halifax, N.S. In later years, he worked as a carpenter and also as a CCA in Homecare and at St. Anne’s Community & Nursing Care Centre in Arichat. Although he is no longer with us, he will live forever in our hearts. We would like to extend our deepest appreciation to each and every one of you for the tremendous outpouring of love and support given to us in so many ways. Thank you! A special thank you to Dr. Scott MacNeil; the Strait Richmond Palliative Care Team of Dr. Philip Cooper who showed their compassion and care not only to dad but to all his family during this difficult time. We want to also thank the Continuing Care Team; your thoughtfulness and compassion go beyond words. Cremation has taken place No visitation per request. A Celebration of Life and family burial will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home Ltd., Arichat.
