Please share a memory of Ann Bernice to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with great sadness and broken hearts that the family announces the passing of our Mom, Ann B. Touesnard on April 19, 2024, with her family by her side. Born August 30, 1938, to the late George and Catherine (MacDonald) Murphy, Barra Head. She will be dearly missed by her daughters Cathy, Geraldine (Greg), Donna (Joey); sons Gerard (Geraldine) and Allan (Mary). Cherished Nanny of Liel, Cole, Caitlin, Sarah, Rebecca, Jeffrey, Gracie, Gregory and Marissa; Great Grandmother to Luke, JR, Ben, Anna, Lily, Brooke, Rose, Dawson, Teddy, Maddy and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Alfred, son John Edward in infancy; brothers Peter, Joseph, Ernest, William, John along with her sisters Emma, Frances, Muriel, Catherine, Teresa and Margaret; son-in-law Dave Wiley.
Ann was a devoted wife and mother, who always put her families happiness and well-being before that of her own. She was a very strong and courageous woman, a talented crafter, who enjoyed knitting and crocheting and baker, who took great pleasure in baking and cooking for her family, especially making everyone’s favorite sweets. There was nothing she loved more than having everyone around her talking, laughing and drinking tea. She was an amazing mother and her death leaves a tremendous void in all our hearts. Ann gained strength from her strong Catholic beliefs and was devoted to her faith until the end.
Special thanks to friends, family, home support workers, Palliative team and VON, who provided care to her so she could stay in her own home. Your support, compassion, friendship and loving care will always be remembered by her family.
Visitation will take place in River Bourgeois Community Funeral Home in River Bourgeois, Monday, April 22 from 2-4 and 7-9.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am Tuesday, April 23 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in River Bourgeois.
A reception will be held at the Tara Lynn Community Centre in River Bourgeois following the burial.
