Wally was a past member of the Royal Canadian Legion (St Peters Branch #47). Wally loved music and dancing and could be found at the dances at the legion on a Saturday night or the various pig & whistles around the area. He was a meek and gentle person. From January of 2024 he was a resident of the Richmond Villa in St. Peters where he brought a new level of energy and was the life of the party when the live musical entertainment arrived. Again, he would dance the day away and even ensure residents in wheelchairs participated. He enjoyed playing cards, putting puzzles together and played bingo regularly. He could be found praying in the chapel or coloring and drawing pictures with and for his friends and family, the staff at the Villa and St Martha's. Thanks to the doctors and nurses on the 3rd floor Geriatrics, the 4th floor Alternative Care staff who were like a family to Wally while he was in residence there at St. Martha's. A special thank you to Rebecca from music therapy at St. Martha's for providing Wally with some of his most beloved songs over the last few days of Wally's life. Thanks to the administration, staff and volunteers at the Richmond Villa for the wonderful environment and care provided to Wally during his residency there.
