Obituary of Jose Angel Vega

Jose Angel Vega, 81 of Boston, Mass It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jose Angel Vega that passed away on September 22, 2024, in Boston, Mass. Born in Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Juan Carlos and Francisca (Ortiz) Vega. Jose lived in Boston most of his life where he met and married his wife Irene Marie Vega. They had 6 children together that they raised in Boston’s South End. He lived a good long life and is now reunited with our mom in heaven. Jose is survived by sons Miguel (Courtney) Vega, Alberto Vega, both of Boston; daughters Angie (Gabriel) Ortiz, Boston, Melissa Vega (Peter), Elizabeth Vega, Nancy Vega (Alexander), all of Potlotek; grandchildren Mya, Nya, Jacob, Isabel, Jenna, Lillian, Valerie, Gabriella, Brianna, Noah, Isaac, Adrianna, Izabella, Katie, Peter Ezra, Andrew, Irena, Alexander Jr., Joseph and Jonah; great grandchildren Amaiha and Alaiah; brothers Hector Vega, Chris Vega and Jose Armondo Vega, all of Boston. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place on October 21st at Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Chapel, Potlotek beginning at 2pm until October 23rd at 10:30am. A graveside service will follow at 11am in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Barra Head with Fr. Duncan MacIsaac officiating. A salite to follow the burial at the Potlotek Community Hall, Potlotek. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C. H. Boudreau Funeral Home Ltd in Arichat.
