My thoughts and prayers to you Ann Marie and your adorable children. I only met you both last year during our leadership weekend, and it was a fantastic experience. My heart aches for you.
Much love.
To all those who had known Gordon in life, he was an inspiration to friends and family for being caring, compassionate, and always quick to smile or offer a joke. What Gordon and Anne-Marie meant to myself is beyond words....they were what everyone wanted them to be, a couple that we knew were meant to be together, and I am forever glad that they had the time they did. Prayers go out from the Jackson's here in Yarmouth, N.S. I love you both.... and I am here for your family.

My fondest memory of Gordon was when I really got to know him at a June, Relay for Life walk in PH. A group of us from Minacs agreed to do the walk and Gordon was one of the team as always. Our group included, Gordon, Rick, Rob, Charlene, Natalia, Ryan, Maurina and I. Our theme was a "Western" one and I can still see him in his bandit outfit along with the other guys. But the best part came when Rick pulled out his guitar and Gordon pulled out his Newfoundland stick, or as he called it, playing the boot. I never laughed so much in all my life. There we were, sitting around our camp fire stove, eating hotdogs and singing old songs of our past and laughing and having the time of our lives. We even won an award for best team spirit, due in part by Gordon's great fun spirit. I am so happy to remember him that way, singing and playing the boot, a treasured night of memories indeed!! He will always have a place in my heart. RIP Gordon, xoxoxo Love Michelle Sending my condolences, thoughts and prayers to his family and friends!

My heart still aches and is so heavy for Gordon's family and the overall fact that he is gone. Words cannot express how sorry I am for this. He was such a stand up guy, an amazing father, husband, son, brother and friend. I have so many memories of Gordon but my most vivid memory is of he and John Bray at the pizza place in Canso where they would each eat a whole large pizza to themselves. They were so proud when they finished...haha. He was quite the character. He always had something funny to say and needed the satisfaction of putting a smile on your face while talking to you or when you were just walking by. I got so many little nudges on the shoulder while walking down the isle at church. He also gave the best bear hugs :) Those little things are what I am going to miss about him. We now have another angel in heaven from our family. May he rest in peace and look over all his family and friends and guide us through life with happiness and love. We'll miss you buddy!
There is no words that will ease the pain you are all feeling. I worked with Gordon, he was a wonderful person and friend. Remember all the memories you shared with him. There is another wonderful angel in heaven watching over Annmarie, Janna and William. Rest in Paradise buddy
