My saddest and deepest condolences to you Brenda and family. Donnie was as you may remember my best man at my wedding in 1985 to Lorna. I first met Donnie in New Minas when he and Brenda started living together and he was my neighbor in the building.

We became close friends and eventually, I moved away from the province and lost touch. I often thought about him and wondered how he and Brenda were doing.

He was a kind man, a fair boss and a good friend. I know that he loved and cherished his family first and foremost. I will miss him. I know his co-workers will miss him and also the Strait Area Ground Search and Rescue will miss him. But! None will miss him as his family will miss him. How very sad. One of my closest childhood friends. I spent more time at his house than my own. To Brenda and girls, as well as Donnies' family who I knew well; my deepest condolences. Rest assured his memory rests with our grand creator and life-giver. He will surely experience the promise Jesus made at John 5:28,29, where he said,'...the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out...".
