Condolences
When Joy and I arrived in Descousse, Mini, Arthur and their whole family took us under their wing, and introduced us to neghbours and to Isle Madame culture. Being newly arrived from England, it sometimes took us a while. I remember taking the family on a shopping trip to Halifax one fall weekend, and when we returned a 40 foot fishing boat was hauled up onto our garden. We went to see Mini, who said "Oh that's Joe's. He always winters it there." I explained we didn't mind, it would just have been nice to be asked! That is my old dinghy they are standing by.
Mini and her family were unendingly kind to us, and our children became good friends.
Rest in peace, Mini.
