On behalf of pat and myself I would like to extend our condolences to all of you...Edna was a great wife mother sister and a great role model for all of her grandchildren to remember.I had the chance to see many of you in the hospital and i know the loss all of you are feeling at this time. You have many memories to cherish and we hope these memories will get you through the difficult days ahead. Our prayer for all of you is that god blesses you with his peace and abundant love and that you feel his presence in the difficult days ahead..... love and prayers Janice and Pat Fougere
TO ALL MY FORGERON FRIENDS...and to my close ones (& you know who you are..) I have thought of you all this week, as I had flashbacks of your mother over the years...when I was lucky enough to spend time with her while hanging out with Ruby, or through my travels home ... and of course, since I married the Reschs. She may have been your blood mother, but she was one of the Louisdale mothers, who help to raise us all. As we live out here in this crazy world, one thing that bonds us and makes us all a little unique (compared to the rest) is that we were raised by a Louisdale mother... As our maternal mortality slaps at us this week and especially on this day...we must celebrate her life and know that she's going on to her next life, where she will sleep when she wants, never have aches and pains...and will wake up every morning, with all the poker chips she needs for the day...to have a blast in the Celestial Casino.. She will watch over you all now and continue to guide you, however the Angels do... That's one of the things we learned from our Louisdale mothers...is how to be Angels here on earth. Watch out for each other, as she would be telling you to...and know that we out West, are all thinking of you today..!! Our Warmest Thoughts.. Joy & The Fort Mac Reschs xxoooooooooooooooooooo
Doug and Family Beverly and I want to express our sincere condolences to you and all of your family for the lost of your loved one. We will keep all of you in our prayers during this difficult time. Love & Prayers Pierre & Beverly

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. I have many fond memories of Edna, especially visiting with her when Taunte Angela was over with Paulette and the girls. She was a wonderful woman. Mama always kept me up to date on how she and Doug were doing after their move away and I can't look at the house without thinking of them both so fondly. I am so glad that I got the chance to see Edna and Doug at Krista and Dwayne's wedding this summer. She will be missed by many. Colette, Nick and family
Dear Doug & family: Our deepest sympathy goes out to each and everyone of you. All who knew Edna knew the wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grand mother Edna was. The rest of us who had the honor & pleasure of knowing her will miss her presence on earth. I always enjoyed meeting Edna at the mall or the grocery store in Halifax. We would exchange the news from home (Louisdale) and always ask each other about our families. Edna will share a place in heaven with her family and friends who have gone before her. God has called another angel home to rest in his arms forever. Don & Sharon Landry (Hatchet Lake)

To Douglas Forgeron and Family I have known Doug most of my life, starting with him being my history teacher at IMDH, but the place where I got to really know him and Edna was their involvement with the R. C. Legion Br. 150, Arichat. I have been in the Ladies Auxiliary for the past 35 years and am presently the President. I will always cherish the memories. My deepest condolences to all the Forgeron family and I want to send my sincere best wishes to Doug. Aurine Richard

Doug, Diane, Gail, Maureen, Paul, Don, Paullette & all the family. We were very sorry to hear of Edna's passing. As a little girl, I use to visit them often with Aunt Theresa & Uncle Albenie's kids, or on my own. She was a very special lady, and always made you feel special. I had the fortune to see her and Doug again this summer at Krista's wedding. Although I have been gone from home for 35 years, Edna knew me right away. I was glad to have seen them both again. When I was home this summer, and summers past, I could never go to Aunt Theresa & Uncle Albenie's house, without asking who is living in Doug & Edna's house? To me it was and always would be their house. My heart goes out to you all at this difficult time. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. I wish I could be home, but that is not possible. May God give you all courage & strength to get through the long road ahead. You all have so many memories to keep her alive in your hearts, cherish that. You now have a very special Angel watching over you all, and her name is Edna. God bless you all. Love: Linda & Peter Samson Brampton, Ontario
I am sorry we cant be with all of you at this very difficult time but you will be in our thoughts and prayer. We are very thankful to have Edna share in our wedding day and have her family and friends all there with her. It was nice to see a big smile on her face. I also received a little bit of information on how to make my marriage last 60 years. It just may come in handy. We love you!!

Doug and Family, It is with deep sadness that we read of Edna's passing away in this morning's Chronicle-Herald. I am confident that you all hold precious memories of Edna in your hearts that you will cherish for the rest of your lives. Though we mourn Edna's passing may you all find comfort in the sure hope that, for Edna, life has changed not ended, and that she now enjoys eternal life in the embrace of God's steadfast love. My heartfelt sympathy for your loss.
I want to express my sincere condolences for the loss of such a wonderful lady. She always had a smile on her face. I remember growing up in Louisdale, with Lisa a Gail. We were at Edna's house all the time and she never complained that there were lots of girls upstairs, playing loud music, dancing and singing. She always welcomed us in her home and we will always be grateful to her. Remember all the wonderful memories you have of her. Rest in peace Edna. Shelly a Claire Louisdale
Sending thoughts and prayers to you Doug and your family (special hugs and love to our friend Paulette!) at this very sad time. Edna always made us feel welcome whenever we visited. I can hear her voice "Come on in now and have a seat...can I get you anything?!!!) We were very sad to hear of her passing away and she will be missed terribly. We all have such great memories of her and will hang on to those forever! Lots of Love Heather and Mort Samson xoxoxoxo (Dartmouth, NS)
I am very greatful to have grown up with Edna and Doug as my neighbors. I cant even count the number of meals she cooked for me, or how many nights I stayed there. Every time I look at the house I still call it Edna and Doug's, it will always be their house to me, and I will always miss them. She loved her life and everyone around her and never complained about a thing. She also raised her children to be the amazing people they are today, and I can honestly say that even though I do not see them as often now, I consider them a big part of my family. I love you all very much. Ill always be thankful for everything she did for me and my family, and I'll never forget her. My heart goes out to her family at this difficult time. Rest in Peace Holly.
I first met Edna in September of 1990 when I first began dating her live-in granddaughter Lisa, who is my lovely wife to this day. My heart is with her because she has always shown me the same love as she did everyone else. She treated everyone the same-that is with all her heart, even those other people gave up on. Everytime I think of Edna, I think of "the love of a good woman". Love to all those who Edna loved (I'm sure there are many), including all of her extensive family (blood relative and not).
To the family of Edna; I have had the priveledge of knowing Edna my entire life. She was an amazing woman with a huge heart, an infectious smile and a kind soul. She was very proud of her family and loved you all so very much. We spoke at length, each and every month, over the phone about everything, and although I'm sure she wasn't always feeling the best, she never complained. I will miss those phone calls but I know that she is at peace now, safe in the arms of God. Sleep well Edna and know that your legacy lives on in the hearts and minds of your children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We are all better people for having known you. May God bless you, her family, and give you all the courage and the stength to comfort one another. Celebrate her life today & always!!
Our deepest sympathy to you Douglas & your family at this time of loss. Our prayers and thoughts are with you. Leon & Violet Bonin & Family
I am sorry that we cannot make it down to celebrate Aunt Edna's life with you all but I feel blessed to have gotten to spend time with her, Maureen, Gail, Jennifer and Paulette in the hospital during the last few weeks of her life. Though the circumstances were not the greatest it gave me a chance to catch up with you all and get to talk with Aunt Edna and hopefully bring her some comfort in her last days. We love you all and are thinking about you in this difficult time. xoxo
Dear Rita,Dora, Mary & Forgeron Family, I was very sorry to hear about Edna's passing. May the fond memories you have held in your hearts, help lessen the sorrow you feel at this time. Edna was blessed to have had such a warm and loving family. My prayers are with you at this time, Bev
