Forgeron (Samson), Mary Edna "Edna", 83 Halifax/Louisdale
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on November 25, 2008 at the QEII Health Sciences Centre. Edna was born in Louisdale on July 5, 1925 to the late James Samson and Artimese (Landry) Samson. She was also predeceased by her loving step-father, Charles Linden. Edna will be sadly missed by her husband of 63 years, Douglas. She is also survived by her 6 children, Diane (Percy) King, Edmonton; Gail (Leonard) Samson, Halifax; Maureen (Michael) MacNeil, Truro; Paul, Fort McMurray; Don (Linda), Toronto; Paulette (Brenton) Field, Fort Saskatchewan; 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; sisters Mary Marchand, Rita Marchand and Dora (Ambrose) Linden. Visitation will be held on November 27th in the Glen Samson room, Louisdale from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A mass celebrating Edna's life will be held November 28th at 2pm, St. Louis Parish, Louisdale with Fr. Angus MacDougall officiating. Interment will take place immediately after. Reception to follow at the church hall. A special thank-you to the nurses on 8.4, QEII Health Sciences Centre, for the loving care they gave Edna during her final days. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or the charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat.
