Missed and appreciated for his service to his country during wartime, his exploits and seamanship, his frankness and honestly and loyalty to friends and former neighbours.

Dear Bev, Leo,and Erin I am at a loss for words. My deepest heartfelt sympathy for your loss. Words cannot express my shock and grief when I received news of Leo passing. I always looked at him as invincible. There is no finer man then Leo and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He had qualities so rarely found these days. He had strength of character, integrity, and courage. Leo was a great man, great shipmate, and a great friend. Again my deepest sympathy.

Bev, Leo and Erin Our deepest sympathies are with all of you at this time. We have many special memories of the time spent with all of you. Leo will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known him.

We knew Leo well enough to appreciate his loyalty, affection for his family and friends, and his strength of character. Our time in the service gave us a certain kinship even though Leo used to scoff a bit about the navy and helicopter pilots once in a while; he always had an appreciative grin that cemented that kinship. Leo was a tremendous asset to this community, even though he was away a lot of the time. Its too soon for him to ship out for good and we will all miss him. We love his family and will stand by you.
