BOUDREAU, Edwina Mary, 63 - It is with sad hearts that we the family of Edwina have to announce the passing of a beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and sister-in-law, who passed away peacefully and quietly at home in Arichat on May 1, 2009. Born on December 24, 1945 in Petit De Grat, she was the daughter of the late Jeantie and Felicite (Samson) Boudreau. Edwina left a lasting impression on all of those who knew her kindness, compassionate ear, sense of calm, and reassuring smile. She enjoyed her friends company at the Bingo, playing cards especially Pay Me at the campground. She was also quite artistic with a piece of material or wood while listening to her favorite country music singers. Baking (especially with chocolate) was also one of her favorite pastimes and could be frequently seen in the kitchen at Jeantie's Mini Mart in Arichat where Edwina was the manager for 17 years. She was also a former employee of Booth Fisheries and Richmond Fisheries as their Payroll Clerk for many years. Edwina was the 1st President of the Isle Madame Voluntary Fire Department Ladies Auxillary in Arichat and called more than one game of Bingo at Our Lady of Assumption Church Hall in Arichat. She was well respected and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her spouse Victor David, Arichat and her children, son Evan Richard, Bedford and daughter, Joy (Nick McEntee) of Ontario, her two beautiful angels that she loved and adored, grandchildren, Felicia and Halle McEntee; brother Venard Boudreau (Mary); sister, Leah Bond (Armond) both of Petit De Grat; sister- in-laws Freda Boudreau, Petit De Grat and Carol Shanahan (Frank), BC; mother-in-law Blandine David, Petit De Grat, brother-in-laws, Gary David (Mary Ann). Kenneth David both of Petit De Grat and George Boudreau, Halifax. She was predeceased by her brother Alzear Boudreau, sisters, Zita and Clarisse Samson as well as a brother-in-law, Sylvester Samson. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held in C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home , Arichat on Friday, May 8, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A Celebration of Edwina's life will be held on Saturday morning at 11am, May 9, at Our Lady of Assumption Church, Arichat with Rev. Duaine Devereaux officiating. A reception will follow in the parish hall. Edwina will be buried in the Star of the Sea Cemetery in Petit De Grat with her mother at a later date.
