I remember as a young girl going to your home in both West Arichat and Arichat many many times. It seems like it was only yesterday that we were all kids. I wish I was closer to you. I would love to see you again. Masie, it's been over forty years since I saw you last. With Mom and Dad gone. I don't get to Arichat very often. To the one child that has my dads music box play a song for my dad please you know how much she loved his songs . To All The Barnes Children: Joyce was the warmest most welcoming person I have known next to my own mother. She had many children whom she loved dearly but always had room for one more in her heart. I have many fond memories of Joyce, on my visits to Arichat with my sister Carol. My favourite memory is Joyce rolling around the kitchen in her office chair whipping up biscuits and yummy fish and scrunchions for lunch. I can remember thinking if that was lunch what was supper going to be? And , of course, something even more yummy appeared and lots of it! I gained 5 lbs. and had to buy stretchy pants on the way home! She truly was the "Heart" of the home! May all those happy and loving memories comfort all of you in your days of sadness. love, Elaine

Just remember, your Mom is with your Dad now, and nothing would make her happier.
