Barnes, Joyce Georgina �" 79, Arichat, passed away, July 25, 2006, in St Martha's Regional Hospital in Antigonish. Born in Harbour Mille, Nfld, she was the daughter of the late William and Beatrice (Barnes). She is survived by her children, Alvin (Carol), Bible Hill, Masie Cowan (Roger), Medicine Hat, Alb., Maurice (Carol), Halifax, Rex (Lorna), Arichat, David (Elizabeth), North River, Betty Lucas (Luke), Dartmouth, Susan Cooper (Stan), Dartmouth, Jim, Arichat, Marlene Snow (Bobby), Dartmouth; sisters, Theresa Hickey, Edna Keeping, both of North Sydney; brothers, Harrison (Audrey), Melvin, (Edith), both of Nfld; fifthteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild; special friend, sister n law, Julie Barnes. She was predeceased by her husband, Capt. William James Barnes, grandson Clay Fisher; brother Ambrose Barnes; step brother, Stan Brown. Visitation will be held in the C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm and on Saturday morning from 9:30 �" 10:30am. A service of remembrance will be celebrated at St John Anglican Church in Arichat on Saturday morning at 11am with Rev. Susan Beft officiating. Burial to follow in St. John Anglican Church Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the family.
