Samson, Gladys Jeanette, 79, Poulamon, passed away at the Strait Richmond Hospital in Evanston on December 20, 2010. Born in Poulamon, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Mary Ann (LeBlanc) Provost. Gladys loved to knit, quilt and to play cards, especially when she won. She enjoyed the laughs while playing cards. Gladys is survived by her daughters, Brenda Burke (Reno), Poulamon, Patricia Boudreau (Gordon Rowe) Martinique; son, Lawrence (Bernadine), Fort McMurray, Alberta; grandchildren, Christopher, Daniel, Phyllis, Deanne, Rebecca, Donald, Amanda and Travis; great-grandchildren, Bryson and Marshall; brother Elmer Provost, Antigonish; brother-in-law Edward Fougere, Dundee; sister Priscilla MacDonald, Sydney. She was predeceased by her husband, George William Samson; infant son, Joseph; infant sister, Theresa; sister Eileen Fougere; brother-in-law Vernon MacDonald.Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation by request. Memorial Service will be held Thursday morning at 11 am in the St. Hyacinth Church in D'Escousse. Burial will follow in the St. Hyacinth Parish Cemetery D'Escousse. Memorial donation can be made to the Strait Richmond Hospital Palliative Care Society.
