SAMPSON, Mary Alma, age 102 – St. Peter’s/L’Ardoise

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Alma Sampson, 102 -  of St. Peter’s, formerly of L’Ardoise, that occurred at her residence at the Richmond Villa in St. Peter’s on June 1, 2018. Born March 25, 1916 in L’Ardoise, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Landry) Briand.Alma was a kind sou and loved Bingo. She is survived by her daughters, Marjorie Peters (Jimmie), Lower L’Ardoise, Beatrice Lord (Pierre), Montreal; sons, Joseph (Louise), Montreal, Allan J. Sampson, L’Ardoise; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; she is also survived by daughter in law, Lisette; sister-in-laws Christina, Delina, Annie; many nieces and nephews and good friends, Kyle Mombourquette and Eva Sampson. She was predeceased by her husband Urban Sampson; daughter Annette, son Lionel; grandson Guy and son in law Romeo.The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff at the Richmond Villa in St. Peter’s for their care and compassion given to Alma during her stay at the Villa. You are all angels. Visitation will be held in the Holy Guardian Angel Community Visitation Room, L’Ardoise from 2-4 & 7-9pm on Thursday June 7^th. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Guardian Catholic Church in L’Ardoise on Friday, June 8^th at 11am with Rev. Antolin Asor presiding. Burial to follow in the Holy Guardian Angel Cemetery in L’Ardoise. Memorial donations can be made to the Richmond Villa Activity Fund. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C.H.
