We were so sorry to hear of Ellen Janes passing. We have been praying for her since we found out about her illness.

We were able to see her once in a while when we came home on Holliday’s & were visiting Pauline on top of the hill. We were fortunate enough to have a great night of playing cards with her & others at Pauline’s house. We will never forget her as she & Peter teased each other so much & we had great laughs with her.

She was a special lady & now she is at peace. No more pain, just Peace.

Ellen Jane faithfully phoned my mother Theresa Landry of River Bourgeois for years and Mom now in the Richmond Villa appreciated hearing from her when she lived at home and wondered what happened to her. Ellen Jane was my Dad's cousin Leo Landry son of Celeste-Anne Landry but even after he passed on 10 years ago your Mom still kept in touch with Theresa. Very kind of her to keep that communication going up until a few years ago. May she rest in peace and may your memories console you at this time. Our deepest sympathies. During our teen years in the 1960's Ellen would be busy on a Friday night making her famous chocolate cake with the boiled icing, even the black forest cake could not compare to Ellen's Supreme Chocolate Cake ! We'd eat one huge piece and head out for some laughs & get a little jiving in at the canteen. When Saturday would come, we'd be most likely be found at Blanche Urquhart after we did our scrubbing &waxing and not to forget our polishing with the good old electric polisher. Some how someone in Ellen's family won a polisher and Ellen said I'm sure it's quite the clipper, sure enough wasn't the brand name Clipper ! we laughed about that for day's. Many other laughs came along the way as we got brave and would walk in the dark, peak in a few windows and beckon others to come out to join us in our harmless fun. I'll always remember your Mom Shelley when her Mom would beckon me on my way back to school after dinner, to go upstairs and spend the afternoon with your Mom , that was a bonus for me cause I didn't have to go to school that afternoon.. I'm sure you'll make it through the gates Ellen, you lived a good life and I know you earned your Golden Wings,

I am so sad to hear about Your Mom, Sister, Aunt, Sister-in-law, Grandmother, Wife and friend. Your words certainly describe Her to be a Wonderful and kind person to everyone who knew her. Know that My Heart is broken for all of you during this sad time in your lives. It's so hard to watch someone You Love suffer with this terrible disease. She is no longer suffering now and that's what we take comfort in.

She will certainly walk beside you everyday for the rest of your lives. You have my deepest sympathy. May you find comfort in all the memories that she left behind and I'm sure there are many

I didn't know your mom well but did know her and know how close you and she were and I can only imagine the devastation you have all been going through since she became ill in the first place. Please take comfort in the closeness you both shared and the knowledge that she knew how much she was loved and that you gave so much of your time and devotion to her in the last while.
