Thanks for all the wonderful memories. All the boys loved when you were around, either visiting in Massachusetts, Las Vegas Florida or simply being in God’s country cooking their favorite “Chinese” “Salisbury Steak” and “Chocolate chip cookies” they would enjoy every mouth full. We had a lot of laughs and not to mention the endless card games. RIP Love Lisa xo

How fortunate you all were to have such a fine human being touch all of your lives. Gordon's influence and always putting family first will continue to leave a lasting impression on each and every one of you. He (as well as Idella) have wonderful children and grandchildren, all of whom were taught to make a difference in other people's lives, a trait passed on and so proudly cherished by Gordon.

Millie and I were lucky to become friends with Gordon and Idella while we spent our winters in Florida. We were also privileged to work with Gordon providing dinners at our park in Florida. His expertise in cooking was unsurpassed and was only exceeded by his kindness to all of his loyal crew. We also were honored to be guests of Gordon and Idella at their home where we were treated royally, meeting their children, fishing on his boat and dancing at the local Legion. Millie and I cherish our time that we had with this kind and generous man.

I had a great discussion with Gordon during your kind breakfast reception for my mother's 90th birthday celebration last Summer. He was so proud of his family and the boat house that had been recently built for family gatherings. He told me that family meant everything to him and that he wanted the boat house to be his legecy. In that way he could continue to be part of future family gatherings even though he could not physically be in attendance.

He seemed to be at peace with his heath issue. I hope this will bring some small comfort in the difficult days to come.
