I wanted to pass on my condolences to Sylvia, Florence, Nancy, Frances and Glen on the passing of Newman. He was a pioneer of the fishing industry here on Isle Madame and will be missed by many. Here is some photos I collected while researching the fishing industry here on the island!! Newman had told me the first boats he worked on was Brenda Margeruite and Ronald George. He also was deckhand on Red Diamond III and eventually skipper of her and then George Kentner and Bear Cove Point. I also think he did a couple of trips with Seacraft II.
