Mary Alice (Landry) Doyle, Louisdale April 3, 1946 - December 2, 2023 Died peacefully at home surrounded by her family. Daughter of the late Alvina Joshua and Colin Landry. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Edward; her sons, Colin (Eddie) (Andrea) of Prospect; Ken (Laurie) of Russell ON, Ron of Louisdale, Brian (Laurie) of Whiteside; her daughters, Leanne Oake (Darrell) of Dartmouth, Colleen MacLeod (Hughie) of Louisdale; her brother Wally; 19 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her infant son Bradford; her granddaughter Heidi; her brothers Bruce and Vernie and her sister Redempta. Mom was a past member of the St. Louis CWL, the President of the Ladies Auxiliary (St Peters Branch #47), a religious educator, the lead of the St. Louis Altar Servers, she was an English and French lector and Eucharistic Minister. Mom led the Novena to St. Anne for many years and led the Youth Pro-Life Group. She worked at Booth Fisheries in her younger years; she also worked at the Louisdale Post Office and as a paraprofessional at Felix Marchand Education Centre until her retirement. Mom loved to play BINGO and cards; she made blankets and clothes for her children and grandchildren; and made special cakes for many occasions. Being around family was when mom was at her happiest. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of her life. She was a woman of great faith and whenever prayers were needed, she was there. Thanks to Dr. Cooper of Palliative Care; Valerie and Lesley her, Palliative Care nurses, Dr. Okeke, The VON nurses, Continuing Care (Home Care), Dr. Gillis, and Dr. Bates at St. Martha's Hospital. Our family would like to send a heartfelt thanks to our sister Colleen who has taken extra special care of mom for the past number of years. Visitation will take place in the Glenn Sampson Room at St. Louis Parish Church in Louisdale from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm on Wednesday, December 6th. Funeral will be held at St. Louis Parish Church on Thursday, December 7th at 11am, with Rev. Duncan MacIsaac officiating. Burial in St. Louis Parish Cemetery, Louisdale. A reception will be held following the burial in St. Louish Parish Hall, Louisdale In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C. H. Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat. Words of comfort and fond memories of Alice, may be shared with the family at www.chboudreau.com
